About the Role
We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to lead a key WordPress project end-to-end. This is a hands-on, full-stack role that requires a keen eye for pixel-perfect execution. You will work alongside a tech lead, but we need someone who can take ownership of development from design implementation to backend optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of a WordPress project from start to finish.
Ensure pixel-perfect execution of designs.
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins with Gutenberg, Kinsta, or WP Engine experience preferred.
Work on both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless performance.
Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Implement best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
If experienced, leverage React for modern UI enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, and performance optimization).
Hands-on full-stack development experience.
Proven ability to deliver pixel-perfect implementations.
Experience with Gutenberg, Kinsta, or WP Engine (at least one is required).
Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
Familiarity with React is a plus.
Good English communication skills (you will work with a tech lead).
Remote Work Expectations
Work Hours: You'll work remotely and will need to be available during key business hours in the Australian AEST time zone, with flexibility for certain project deadlines required.
Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with the team via tools like Slack, Zoom, and email. Attendance at key virtual meetings will be required.
Self-management: Must be comfortable managing multiple tasks independently and maintaining clear communication with the agency's clients and project stakeholders.
